midi solutions:</font></font></u>
<br>Check <a href="http://www.cgs.fi/~tt/timidity/">Timidity</a>, a software-wavetable
midi player. There are several versions for a wide range of OperatingSystems
(Win 95/NT, LINUX, MacOs, HP-UX,...).
<br>The Win95 version requires at least a 586 CPU for realtime output.
<p>DOS users should have a look at the <a href="http://www.ThePentagon.com/cubic/">cubic
player</a>. It plays mod-files basically, but with the gus-patchset it
can be used for midi files too. It runs well on 486 machines.
<br>Another choice is the <a href="http://www.yamaha-xg.com/">YAMAHA Soft
Synthesizer</a>. It works as a device that emulates a XG wavetable card
with a little delay and a moderate amount of CPU power.. Can be used within
every win-application as MIDI output.
<br>A good choice to play midi-files within your favourite player or sequenzing
software.
