Hi, I am Gerhard Polic, my age is 37 and I live in Austria (You know: No
kangaroos, only Mozart and cows) and my hobby is to build authentic models
of trucks and construction machines. These models are radio controlled and
have all functionslike the original machine, like lights, sound, hydraulic
system,...My models have a scale of 1:14,5. This scale I have choosen,
because the tires from "WEDICO", a german manufacturer, are in
this scale.Wedico say, their scale is 1:16, but that is not correct.
When I start with a new model, I look for an interesting truck or
construction machine.Have I found one, I start with shooting a lot of
photos and measuring the car. Then I get in contact with the manufacturer
and ask for detailed information. Usually the support of the companies is
great.The next step is, to design the scaled model on CAD and sometimes I
publish this drawings in a german magazine, called "Truckmodell",
especially for truck model builders. You can find the link on page "links".All
decals are also made with my computer and finally I paint the model with
airbrush and painting gun.
